Prerequisites: CHEM 215* and CHEM 216* with grades of C or better. Intended for Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology majors. Foundation course in analytical chemistry with a focus on quantitative analysis. Topics include uncertainties, statistics, equilibria, titrimetric methods, electrochemistry and potentiometry, molecular and atomic spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, and chromatography. Students will attend hands-on laboratory practicums over three weekends in Spring 2025 (March 1-2, April 5-6, and May 3-4), with each session running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.
