Why did you choose to attend the SF State Post-Bac program?
My college GPA was not particularly strong and I recognized I needed to strengthen it before applying to medical school again. SF State Post-Bac was able to provide the classes and experiences to help me become a stronger applicant in every way for medical school.
What is/was your favorite thing to do in SF?
As a Yelp elite, discovering new food places was never a problem in SF. Parking is a different story, though.
Tell us something you learned as an SF State Post-Bac that is important to you.
There is no set timeline or "deadline" for one to start their medical journey. Whether you start after college, take four gap years, or have a career change in your 40s, you will have the opportunity to pursue your medical dreams so long as you remain passionate and persistent about it. You will end up where you belong.
What advice would you give to incoming post-bac students?
Please and thank you goes a long way. You'd be surprised how small the medical community is and how much smaller it gets the further you go along in your training.
