Profession and Certification

EKG technicians play an important role in healthcare. They work in hospitals, clinics, physicians’ offices and other healthcare settings, as well as for insurance companies to provide data for health and life insurance policies. As the need for skilled healthcare workers grows, opportunities for EKG technicians remain strong.

After completing the program, you’ll be prepared to sit for a national certification exam, including the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET). The NHA exam requires 10 live EKGs before testing.
